My journey into the world of handmade knitting and crochet began when I made a life-changing decision – leaving the fast-paced corporate world in Chile to start a new chapter in the tranquil countryside of Derbyshire, UK, just before the pandemic. During those challenging and uncertain times, I found comfort and inspiration in knitting, blending my love for mindful practices such as yoga and Pilates with the soothing art of creating beautiful, personal knitwear.

Founded in 2020, My Bubble Cardigan was born from a desire for connection – both with myself and the world around me. As the yarn slipped through my fingers, I was transported to the past, reminded of family members far away, and the simple joys of life. Knitting became my meditative escape from the stresses of the world, a way to create something meaningful during such an unusual and difficult year.

I’ve always had a passion for the timeless art of knitting and wanted to offer something more personal and intimate than what’s found in mass-produced fashion. Each cardigan I create is thoughtfully designed and carefully hand-knitted with love, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to quality. It’s not just about the garment – it’s about the experience, the craftsmanship, and the connection each piece holds. At the beginning I made a Cardigan for myself, then another for a friend and suddenly I was surrounded by my creations.

With the support of my wonderful husband, I decided to start My Bubble Cardigan, my small handmade business. His encouragement and belief in me made all the difference in turning this dream into reality.

Every stitch is made with care and intention. Based in the peaceful countryside of Derbyshire, our local and sustainable business blends the art of knitting and crochet with a mindful approach to create unique, eco-friendly pieces. Each cardigan is thoughtfully handmade using hypoallergenic, sustainable yarns, crafted with both well-being and the environment in mind. I use only the finest natural fibres, sourced responsibly, to create cosy, stylish cardigans designed to stand the test of time. Everything is individually designed and handmade – nothing is mass-produced. Every aspect of design and production (and even packing orders for posting or shipping) gets my eagle-eyed attention.

You can’t buy my knitwear on the high street, and when you wear my knitwear it’s very unlikely that you’ll ever see anyone else wearing the same. Each cardigan features beautifully wide sleeves with a unique bubble stitch effect.
